4 MOA dot size on steel plate at 100 yards...
Seems perfect for (target) .22 handguns or rifles,
but slower for eye to pickup quick and take shot
if speed was of essence - especially < 50 yards...
|

7 MOA dot size on steel plate at 100 yards...
Seems insignificant, but the 7~8 MOA dot size
is quicker to get on target and make the shot.
There's always pros and cons for everything...

Magazines for Saiga 12ga Shotguns

5 round original Russian mag in a built-up Saiga. Mags would be $45, out of stock. These mags are scarce.

10 round mag by Pro Mag, $35. Surefire's 10 round mag, $47. Both types currently out of stock.

Here is what the basic Saiga looks like. Average retail pricing was around $550~$600 in January 2011.
Dealer and then retail pricing has risen steadily since then; now the average retail pricing is $700~$750.

It may not be worthwhile chasing after an overpriced Saiga 12ga only to spend more to 'make it better'.
US legal mfg parts (stock-grip-handguard and internals) are needed and trigger group moved forward.
Even after getting a Saiga-12 and spending ~$400 to build it into a 'tacticool' configuration like below,
